Specialising in Therapeutic Support and Consultancy for Neurodiverse Young People, their Families & Schools.

What is Neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity is about understanding and celebrating differences in how people’s brains work. It recognizes that conditions like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others are just part of the diverse range of human experiences. Instead of calling these differences disorders, a neurodiverse approach is all about accepting and understanding everyone’s unique way of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world. It’s about creating a world that appreciates and celebrates these differences.

What I do…

I offer therapuetic support and counselling services for neurodiverse youth, their families, and educators. My aim is to help young people gain self-awareness, develop a positive self-identity, and address emotional, mental, and behavioural challenges. Importantly, I assist parents in understanding the impact of neurodiversity on their child’s nervous system, empowering them to navigate and respond effectively to their child’s specific needs and challenges.

My approach is neuro-affirming and family-centred – I take the time to really listen to your concerns and experiences. Together, we’ll work towards finding solutions that align with your values and goals for your child and family.

Key areas of focus can include:

  • Addressing mental health concerns: Managing anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring mental health challenges
  • Emotional regulation: Developing skills to understand and manage big feelings
  • Social skills: Navigating the often-confusing world of neurotypical interactions
  • Sensory sensitivities: Finding solutions to cope with everyday challenges
  • School advocacy: Partnering with educators to create a more supportive and inclusive learning environment
